Let
me introduce myself...
My name is Leigh and for the past 30 years I have owned a
pet grooming salon and also sell upscale pet accessories,
but I have never sold puppies or kittens in my store. I,
personally, groom and bathe every cat that enters my
store. (My employees groom the dogs.)
My husband, Rick, is a
supervisor for a cement restoration company in Miami for
the past 20 years.

Our recreational activity is camping and trail riding on
our own horses thru out Florida and other states. When we
pack up our motor home, we always include at least two of
our Maine Coons and our three Westies, Talulah, Matilda
and Sonja. I am Vice-President of the South Florida Trail
Riders and have done many fund raisers within our club for
"homeless cat" organizations. You probably will not see me
sitting at any cat shows on the weekends because we prefer
to use that time to enjoy the great outdoors on horseback.
Maybe, you are wondering how we
manage to raise our kittens while we are traveling with
our horses so often. When one of our "moms" is close to
having her kittens, we just take her with! We have found
a couple of ideal places in our motor home for the mom to
have her babies! If the kittens are newly born, we take
all of them with us! Last Thanksgiving we took 2 litters
with us! Everything was great and I could watch over them
personally.
Over the years
we have rescued, spayed, neutered, and adopted many
homeless cats. We are advocates of the T.N.R. (trap,
neuter, release) programs and have used our proceeds from
our Maine Coons to pay for many other lives to be saved.
If you are not quite ready to "purchase" a Maine Coon,
there are countless numbers of unwanted cats waiting for
homes at your Humane Society and Animal Control Center.
These cats will give you just as much love as any of my
Maine Coons! Every cat deserves a loving home! |
